9. Francis COSBY. Born on 1 Jan 1570/1571 in Stradbally Hall, Queen's County, Ireland. Francis died in Battle of Stradbally Bridge, Stradbally, Queen's County, Ireland on May 19, 1596; he was 26. Occupation: Captain of the Kerne.

Francis married Helen (or Ellen) HARTPOLE, daughter of Robert HARTPOLE.

They had one child:
i. UNNAMED.

10. Richard COSBY. Born on June 14, 1576 in Stradbally Hall, Queen's County, Ireland. Richard died on December 5, 1631; he was 55. Occupation: Captain of the Kern.

Richard married Elizabeth PIGOTT, daughter of Robert PIGOTT. Elizabeth died in 1669.

They had the following children:

iii. Sydney. Born on October 2, 1613.
Sydney married SEGAR.  died on July 11, 1663.
iv. William. William died on September 13, 1683. Occupation: Captain of the Army.
William married Jane STAFFORD.
v. Dorcas.
Dorcas married Adam LOFTUS. Born in Ballymanus, County Wicklow, ireland.
