John Ardery was a Revolutionary Soldier who came to Bourbon Co. KY in 1787 with his brothers, James and William, from Cumberland Co. PA. James Ardery was one of the original trustees of Carlisle, Kentucky, and William Ardery was one of the original sheriff of Harrison county Ky. James and John were both officers in the war of 1812. John Ardery died in Bourbon Co. Ky in the year of 1830.

I have some history regarding a Ardery family.

John J Ardery died before the 1850 census. He married Mary Ann Boone abt 1845.

Mary Ann Ardery was listed in the household of James Boon (Boone) in the 1850 census of Bourbon Co., KY. John Ardry(ery) was age 4; Mary age 3 and Mary Eliza age 1.

Ardery children wards of James Boone, children of Mary Ann Boone and John J Ardery. John died Nicholas Co., Ky. In Nov 1850 James Boone is named guardian with Jonalthan Boone (brother to James) as security. Children were John 4, Amanda 23 months and Mary age 1. James sought permission to sell land (Ardery) for his words.

Another record states Jonathan Boone appoints Garrett Davis as his attorney to sign for him. It was difficult for Jonathan to get into Paris & etc., especially concerning the wards of James Boone (Mary A Boone Ardery's children).
