Research Notes, Bourbon County, Kentucky
The following list includes research notes on various individuals and families who settled in or passed through Bourbon County, Kentucky. These notes are submitted by various researchers and, in some cases, cannot be verified as to their accuracy. Like all genealogy research, much of this material must be taken as pieces of a puzzle. Also, these notes may be polished work or "rough" data; and as such represent an interesting departure from most research found on the internet. Personally, I like rough data because many times little gems can be found amidst the bits and pieces of stuff.
As a matter of convenience and effective use of space, I have grouped all individuals and families notes according to surnames; for example, "Adair," "Alexander," etc." Each entry in a given surname list is numbered separately. It is important to remember that the entries may or may not be related to one another.
I welcome all submissions having to do with Bourbon County families and will post each submission to the site as I see fit (and have time). I will try my best to stay on top of the submissions but it must be understood that this is an enjoyable pasttime for me and not a job. There is no charge for my services and I pay for the web site that you enjoy. With this in mind, I ask your patience if your material does not make it to the site within a few days. Finally, I regard all material sent to me as public domain and will post it as such. By sending your data to me, I will assume that you mean for me to post it to the world. Please remember this.
If you would like to submit research, please send an e-mail to darby@nemr.net. I prefer receiving data as word processor attachments to e-mail rather than as an e-mail message.--Bob Francis
NOTE: I have excluded from this list individuals who are listed in biographies from Perrin's "History of Bourbon, Scott, Nicholas and Harrison Counties, Kentucky" (unless they are a part of a greater context of notes on an individual or family). My reason for this is because I have a web page already dedicated to these biographies, namely Bourbon County, Kentucky, Biographies.
